Neck pain from driving a new car: Help!

Started by winfreys on 03/23/2011 9:24am

Hi,
-Just purchased a new Honda Accord and I'm experiencing neck pain. I am short 4'11, but I

didnt have this problem in my caravan. I think It's a difference in the seats and the suspension

system. Apparently some new cars have 'stiff suspension' that causes head to jerk unless you

slightly touch the breaks. I'm learning to adjust to breaks but I still think I need a pillow to fill-in gap

between seat and head rest to 'soften the blow'. What's a good car pillow to use? Any suggestions.

Maybe you could try one of those traveling pillows shaped like a bone? You might be able to attach it to the headrest area of the seat so it stays in place. Just a thought :)
