Can anyone translate this spinal CT for me?

Started by AlexanderAU on 02/26/2021 5:40am

Hello!

So I've recently had a CT completed of my cervical and lumbar spine areas.
I've been given the results but they were not explained to me, as it's another practitioner who has to go over it which might be a while, unsure yet.

Anyway, from my research I can kind of understand the jist of it, but is someone able to explain what each bit actually means in layman's terms? Would be very much appreciated!

--------

RESULTS: (Note I'm only including abnormal results.)

C4/5 = Central disc protrusion.
C5/6 = Central disc protrusion eccentric to the left of midline results in mild central canal stenosis.
C6/7 = Shallow central disc protrusion eccentric to the right results in minor central canal stenosis.
L2/3 = bilateral facet joint arthropathy.
L3/4 = bilateral facet joint arthropathy.
L4/5 = Minor facet joint arthropathy.
L5/S1 = Shallow central disc protrusion. - Chronic left L5 pars defect with incomplete fusion of the L5 lamina.

Any help would be kindly appreciated! Thank you!
