Misdiagnosed Broken rod 1 year post dspinal fusion

Started by Pippyrushrush on 11/16/2020 10:49pm

41-year-old female who had spinal fusion done last year in September which would be 2019 approximately one year later I was bending over to pick a tomato out of the garden and I heard four pops in my back I had went to the emergency room numerous times spoke to my surgeon they had done x-rays in September of 2020 and October 2020 both the radiologist and the surgeon overlooked broken rod in my spine and just found out I have to have a spinal fusion done again in less than a week to replace that rod I feel the doctor should be reprimanded for not seeing this in the radiologist but I can't seem to find a lawyer that will take the case because they say the result comes out the same either way I have to have surgery

I just read your post. Awful! I hope your second surgery went well and you are on the mend. I had fusion surgery 18 days ago. Doing well. I'd love to know how your doctor or another doc eventually figured out that the rod was broken?
