Awful shock like nerve pain in upper left back?

Started by Annes95 on 02/13/2019 5:57pm

Hi,

I first encountered this pain almost three years ago. It was so infrequent that I never usually bothered doing anything about it. It would come every few weeks, I used to think smoking triggered it. In November of last year it got so frequent that I finally saw my gp. She prescribed me naproxen and sent me on my way. It went away for a month (maybe the odd one or two shocks in that whole time).

The last two days it's back, and fairly consistent. One or two every shocks every few minutes. It's like a sharp shocking nerve pain. Sometimes it makes you jolt up a bit.

Anyone any idea what this is?
