Pain and recovery

I 41 years old had t11/l1 spinal cord injury this year,it complete but since day one I still have nerve pains and niddles on my both feet,I can't sit long time on a wheelchair,it's been six month now pains are getting worden,I can't move my legs but doctors sad I will walk again,can some one tell me it's true I can be able to walk again ,is doctor telling the truth.
