Best brace for L5 bilateral pars fracture

Started by Dara on 09/03/2018 8:43pm

Can anyone recommend the BEST back brace to support L5 pars fracture healing? Is a rigid Boston brace or custom brace best? I currently have a crappy one by “Trulife” that I feel makes my back arch and my pain worse. It has corset type elastic laces at the back and is a soft mesh brace, and I don’t think it’s even the right size. Will this help or worsen my recovery?

Yes this brace will support L5-S1 and it will start at about L4 , you can get it at coreproducts.com, its around $20 tp$25 I have a picture of it, so if you send me a link, it also has a firm pad u/v shape to rest on the scarum and L5, I been using it for 30 plus yrs, you can't find it in a store today, that I have seen. My email is sohols@hotmail.com, if you want a pic.
Good luck!
