Pain

Started by Spocker1candycane on 06/30/2018 2:08pm

What do I do when, not if (because it’s already happening) my pain doctors lowers my pain meds (Norco 10-325) to zero? She has already lowered it from four time a day to three. And she said the government is making the doctors lower them more and more. I have NEVER taken more than prescribed. I’ve had pt, massage therapy (both very, very painful Because of my injuries). Especially to touch.

Hi, Spocker1candycane--we completely understand your frustration with the issue of increased scrutiny over prescription pain medication. We have heard from several members of this Community who are going through the same thing as you--and they aren't sure they can get relief without these medications. It's a very complex issue.

We'd like to share this article with you, which was inspired by the struggles Community members were expressing over having their reduced or eliminated prescription pain medication: ( Opioids for Chronic Neck Pain: Nonopioid Treatment Options )

We know this information doesn't ease the pain and frustration of having your prescription change, but perhaps it sheds light on some new ways to manage your pain.
