Hardware removal

Started by Clairance on 05/11/2018 10:53am

Hi everyone, I have a spine fusion for 14 years now and I felt no pain at all during this period.
However, for the last two weeks I have pain on my back which is caused from the edge of the rods (the hooks area)
The doctor has proposed to remove the hardware since there is no reason to be there anymore.
Could you please help me with this? Has anyone made this surgery? How was the recovery? My doctor insists that is a simple surgery compared to the previous one. and the recovery is much quicker.

Thanks a lot.

My pm doc said its time to call my surgin because i have a herniated disk right above my fusion. Im wondering if i can get the removal at the same time as the disectomy. My pain got way worse after my surgery . Any answeres woild be awsome.

Thanks
