Spinal slimulation

Will medicare pay for you to have your spinal card stimulation taken out if their a problem

Dear Sadface,
The answer is yes. If there is a problem with a spinal cord stimulator, your treating doctor will remove it and Medicare will cover the cost of the procedure if it is considered medically necessary.

Yes, they will. I had my Medtronic #37714 replaced with a Nevro HF10 pain stimulator on 07/10/2018. My old one stopped working over two years ago and in addition to that, it was recalled in 2016, unbeknownst to me. I never received any type of correspondence from Medtronic concerning this. The recall was due to a problem with the battery.
