Auto Accident

Started by Akuhn on 11/02/2017 4:04pm

I NEED ADVICE.

I was in an auto acident in the begining of April 2017. Rear ended at 70mph while sitting stationary. I went to the hospital was Released the following morning with the emergency Room doctors findings being spinal cord spasms. Thinking I could simply Deal with the pain for A while, And being under the idea that the actually performed A CT scan to make the spasam determination which later found out was not done but was told was done. I was so out of it while having the few xrays performed in the ER.

In mid July 2017 Sought medical Care from a spine surgeon that also has neck, knee surgeon's and such on staff all of which I have seen (A HUMAN CHOP SHOP....humor)

Problems:
Contact headaches Liu atred in base of skull and optical occasionally
Neck pain
Shoulder blade pain
Lower, middle, and upper back pain
Extreme pressure feeling in knees when standing or sitting (walking helps eleviate it sometimes)
Groin muscle pain spasams charly horse feeling

I've had an
MRI
EMG Findings where normal.
NUMEROUS XRAYS head to toe all normal
MRI FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS

I got a bulge in T6-7 causing spin all choard flattening, Diffuse Disc bulge found in L1-L2 , L3-L4 ,and in C5-C6 Then In L4-L5 a Disc bulge compressing the anterior thecal sac. C3-C4 a disc bulge and central disc protrusion .

My issue is that now having been told that I am to seek out physical therapy that no surgery is needed, and that none of my disc issues are causing the exploding feeling in my knees nor muscle spasms in the groin specifically in the abductor longus area. I asked the spine doctor can not the disc issues cause the issue im having with my knees I mean the MRI SAYS IN T 6-7 THEY'RE SPINAL CHOARD FLATENING IM NO ECSPERT BUT THAT SOUNDS BAD....NO? MY DOCTOR said no THAT IS AN OVER READ BY THE RADIOLOGIST AND TO schedule an appointment with the knee doctor again (who just last week told me my knees where fine.)and Refused to Acknowledg the groin issue. When questioned whether or not the physical therapy would alleviate the groin pain as well as the knee issues, he stated no that it would only help the localized pain that I'm having in my actual back and I Suggested THEN WHAT'S THE POINT IF ITS NOT GOING TO ELIVIATE THE ISSUES LOOK IM NOT PLAYING THE FATTEN YOUR POCKET GAME I NEED ANSWERS. HE REPRATED EMG IS FINE ITS NOT FROM YOUR NERVES OR SPINE IF dont like MY answers OR FINDINGS GO get a second oppinion. AND WALKED OUT.

IM LOST I FEEL LIKE I JUST HANDED HIM 15 GRAND FOR NOTHING HELP!!!!

I refuse to accept the aparent notion this doctor is Implying that there's nothing wrong .

Hi, Akuhn--We are so sorry to hear about the pain and subsequent medical challenges you've had since your car accident earlier this year.

First off, we think seeking a second opinion is a good idea. If you're not feeling confident in your current doctor's approach, a new perspective might help shed new light on what you're going through. If you need a good place to start in terms of finding a new spine specialist, our doctor finder tool can help: https://www.spineuniverse.com/locate/spe...

We'd also like to share some content with you that may apply to your situation. These articles include some treatment options that may reduce your pain--and some can even be done at home:
