Post spinal fusion pain/taking the screw out

Started by Crafty on 09/27/2016 11:37pm

First off it's great to have a community that actually will have some empathy with this situation . My wife cares and love me but yet still has no clue what's going on when I tell her I'm in pain .
I had a S one through else for spinal fusion five months ago . The first month and a half was really amazing and then things started getting worse . Luckily for me I can sit and lay down but standing is really painful . I have a pain management doctor that has given me a S one injection thinking that that would alleviate my problem and it has not .
I cannot live like this the pain is about the same as before surgery . Thinking that this is what I'm going to live with for the rest of my life isn't an option.im 42.I saw my surgeon and he said it is possible that the screws are causing this pain and may take them out . He doesn't want to but has no other answers .Everything else on my MRI and x-rays check out . Has Anyone ever had the screws taken out for this reason .there is one more procedure that my pain management doctor is going to do which he says should remove the scar tissue if that is what's hurting me and my nerves .
Any feedback is amazing thank you .
