Radio frequency ablation

Started by hgriff01 on 08/27/2016 11:44pm

I have had horrible lower back pain for years and it wasn't until recently that I found a doctor that figured out what it was. After years of taking pain pills and muscle relaxers and having injections that didn't work this doctor suggested "burning the nerves" or RFA. I figured I would give it a try, it sounded like it could be the solution I had been waiting for. I knew it wasn't it a permanent fix but was hoping for at least six months. It took a month for me to get any relief after the procedure and now, three months after the procedure I am back to being in unbearable pain again. Just when I was starting to feel normal again, and now I am back to not being able to do the things I want to do. My question is has anyone else had results like this and if so did you opt to have it done again? If you didn't have it done again what did you do to get relief? I have only had two months of relief in five years and it is very frustrating, just trying to figure out what my next steps should be. Thank you ahead of time.
