Can anyone help me? I'm losing hope

Started by Greenmtnboy on 06/27/2016 4:53pm

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting so I'm sorry if this type of post isn't allowed here. I am struggling to figure out what is wrong with my back, doctors have just labeled it (chronic mid thoracic pain) which in my opinion means " faking it"

Ive been dealing with back problems since I was 16, I "tore" both of my traps while doing a lot of over head movements with my arms, ( I'm a carpenter) so I dealt with that coming and going for years, sometimes it was ok and other times I could barely keep my head lifted because of the pain. I'm 28 now and have never been more than 3 months without some kind of issue with my back, mostly due to the traps but also a strange lower back problem too. I was in a car accident last November and got brought to the hospital because whatever happened during the accident caused my back to go nuts. they did x rays and it showed no broken discs but I am still in agony almost 9 months later, it comes and goes but for the last month it has been here steady and finally I couldn't take the pain so my doctor prescribed me dilauded 2mg and that seemed to take the edge off but not relieve a good chunk of the pain. no one can tell me why im having all this pain but I'm also a recently diagnosed epileptic ( I don't know if I believe it ) and I saw a new neurologist at the beginning of the month because one of the theories is that im having seizures whilie im sleeping and its causing my back problems. I don't believe that too be true since I sleep with my girlfriend right next to me and she woke up to the actually seizure I had while sleeping. So anyways, any twists, bends, tilts are extremely painful, so my doc wanted me to start pt and I did this past Friday, she could only give me a very light massage because of the tenderness of my back and at the time it didn't feel bad but about 2 hrs later I was in the worst pain of my life I there was nothing I could do about it. ever since the car accident for some reason my back wants to crack a lot on its own and ever since the massage this specific spot of pain in my mid spine area likes to crack on its own with regular movements but it is extremely painful when it happens and now it has started to send a jolt of what feels like electricity through my whole body. It is also causing tingling throughout the back of my skull and neck and for a while we thought it was a seizure trying to break through but now I know its related to this. does anyone out there have a similar story? thanks and sorry about the bad grammar.
