Radicular symptoms and loss of bowel control

Started by Pamela9 on 06/25/2016 3:31pm

I had a 4 level ACDF in September of 2014. After the first 12 months I was doing better but still having leg and low back symptoms. Things have progressed to lack of bowel control. A colonoscopy this week confirmed the problem is neurological. My gastro immediately ordered a lumbar MRI which I will have next Friday. Before leaving the hospital I was told to call and schedule an appointment with my neurosurgeon since I have been waiting since March for an appointment with a neurologist. The neurosurgeon 's staff would not make an appointment since it was almost a year since I had last been seen! Maybe I should have the gastro office call?

Absolutely!! Your gastro's office knows your situation and are the best ones to reach out to the neurosurgeon. Best wishes!
