back pain horrible

Started by Butterfly6353 on 05/29/2016 4:29am

Hello Everyone, I am new here and hope to find some information about what to do. I am 63 have type 2 diabetes and parkinsons. I think I have more than one problem with my back. T10-T11 has a herniation causing cord effacement. Which I was told it is bone on bone with bone spurs in my spine.
At 2.-L.3 is bulging. L3-L4 is bulging with spinal stenosis. L5-S1 has anterloisthesis . I have been in physical therapy for 3 months, I also had a claudical injection in the tail bone in which my tail bone hurts all the time now. My pain management doctor is going to be doing two epidural injections, he said he is going to put me to sleep for them, when I don't know when I haven't heard a word from his office. I did make an appointment with a neurosurgeon to find out if they can help me any , appointment is three months away. My physical therapist, my pain management doctor, my neurologist have all told me my spine is unstable. I have a back brace I wear when doing any activities, walking the dog, housework etc. Other than that I just sit. I was told I couldn't really exercise , go swimming though. I feel as if my quality of life is just going downhill. When the pain is so horrible should I force myself to exercise and go swimming. I just don't know what to do . Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks.
