MRI performed for dorsolumbar spine & images were obtained in axial & saggttal planes using echo T1&T2W sequances.

The study reveals normal lordotic curvature of dorsolumbar spine.

Osteophytes formation seen along the paradiscal margins of dorsolumbar vertebrae. However visualized vertebrae bodies are normal in height, alignment & marrow signal intensity.

Dessication of cervical intervertebral discs is seen as evidenced by reduction of normal T2 hyperintense signal of nucleus pulposus.

Disc bulge is seen at C5-C6 level attenuation ventral thecal sac.

No other significant disc bulge/herniation is seen.

Distal dorsal cord and conus medullaris reveal normal intensity pattern.

Pre/para spinal soft tissues planes appear normal.
