4-5 Herniated disk in spine, is this the end?

Started by kaidiudris on 02/17/2015 8:37pm

Hello! My husband is a professional contemporary dancer. Few years ago he was injured and had a herniated disk. He stayed home for 6 months and then returned to work with only minor discomforts. 3 years passed. Last month he had another injury and after having the MRI scan made, we found out 4-5 disks in his lower back are now herniated. The doctor advises to stop dancing. This would mean an end to his career. Is there any other solution? I have heard of a surgery? Would this still allow him to continue his career? Thank you for answering!
