Lumbarization S1/L6 (L5?) Help!

Started by garrettgoff on 01/20/2015 1:07am

Hi I am a 19 year Old male who was diagnosed with Lumbarization S1(According to the Xray Report) in Nov 2010 by a orthopedic surgeon and I have been having back pain now since 2012. I was first in the Ortho's office due to a injury where I was diving and hit my back hard on the lane rope. My pain went away, I had my flare up days but it wasn't that big of a deal. Since 2012 to now its gotten worse especially since My car accident (Rollover) in Oct 2014. I wasnt badly hurt and my back didnt hurt after the accident but 2 weeks later it hurt bad! And still is. Its lower back pain. I went to ER Dec 2014 for lower back pain severe where the Xray report said (Posterior S1 Cleft Defect) which confused me as I was told something different in 2010. Anyways I have attached quite a few xrays & CT Scans http://s103.photobucket.com/user/garrett1995lcu/story) in this link that were taken in Oct 2014 for anyone to view if you would like. My question is , What exactly is this diagnosis/or diagnoses? Any other problems you guys see? Is the surgeon right or the ER Radiologist right? What are my treatment options? Surgery would be the best as I'd rather not be doped up on Pain Pills since Im In college. What kind of procedures is their for this? I would go back to my ortho doc but I cant until later in this year (Aug-Sept Time Frame) as Im on my parents insurance and they are financially iffy right now. Thanks a bunch you guys
