sacroiliac injections

Started by patricia1121 on 01/15/2014 8:08pm

I am do to get a steroid injection in my right sacroiliac ( si ) joint. I have had these injections in other lower spine areas L3, L4 L5. most helped for a while, the last two in those areas did nothing.
has anyone gotten relief in the si joint with injections and for how long.? I've been wondering how much damage is being done with all of this in the long run.?

I know Just from Internet research that most doctors will only do 3 injections a year and in the long run (like years of injections) the cortizone will deteriate the cartilidge. which i fear because the thought of bone on bone contact sounds worse than it actually hurts , nd it hurts pretty effing bad!
