L4-L5 Spondylolisthesis, Spondylolysis

Started by robomed35 on 07/18/2013 2:14pm

Hello,
I have been diagnosed with an L4-L5 Spondylolisthesis with severe bilateral neural foraminal stenosis Grade 1. I have sciatic pain down into right buttocks if leaning back on Right leg. I am currently on #2 epidural steroid injection. My concern is that I am active duty Army and cannot get a straight answer on if this can shift further out of place with heavy weight carrying or if is stable. Being military I can only limit physical activity so much have been in for 21 years thus far. My body has to last me forever the Army will end at some point.
Also, they took the xrays to grade it while laying down, I have read that true grading xrays should be while standing, any input?? For treatment does braces for the back help? Thanks.
