Applying for disability

Started by JustSomeChick on 03/26/2013 4:29pm

After years of chronic pain from head to toe ( headaches, tmj, sinus issues, neck, back, girly/uterine pain, ankle problems etc) I'm finally applying for disability. It's so depressing and stressful. It's like finally admitting that there is no end in sight and that I'll probably never feel whole again.

I already got approved for short term disability and am now having the fun of dealing with long-term SSA disability. I won't go into any details but to say that the waiting and waiting and not knowing is sucking the life out of me. I just want to get approved already so I can say "I told you so" to everyone who thought I was exaggerating for the past 20 years. Yes, 20 years at least since I've had pain issues, more than 5 years since it's been a daily problem.

I just need a place to vent/share and learn instead of crying and googling in circles.

i myself am sitting thinking i should admit to myself my inability to function the way i did before all the fusions. I struggle on a daily basis with whether to make that decision. I hope i can like finally admit that which i fight back.
