Still a large bulge after surgery

Started by Worried on 02/28/2013 12:19pm

I had a discectomy to remove a herniation at L-5/S-1 on the right. I also had a over 10mm bulge that was compressing the spinal cord. I am still in pain Lower back, hips and right upper thigh. The doctor has said that everything he did is A-Okay even though there is still a large bulge approx. 6mm extending toward spinal cannal still present and the vertbrae would be touching if the bulge was not there. We have done another MRI that is how we know it is still there. He says that whatever I am feeling is muscle related, has not done a refex or any other hands on diagnosis. My question is, Has anyone else had a doctor leave a large bulge after surgery?
