Selective Denervation Surgery

Started by pc42205 on 02/07/2013 4:00pm

I just been referred Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota to the head of Neurology, Dr. Ahlskog. I have to go see him on April 23, 2013 and have to stay in hospital for 3-7 days for this Selective denervation surgery. Has anyone out there had this done? If so, can you tell me about it, is it painful? Does it finally relieve your chronic pain? My chronic pain has been so bad. For 13+ years I have gotten to the point where I can barely function anymore. This would be a godsent, if it works for me. I would love it, if anyone could provide me with any information concerning what all involves the Selective Denervation Surgery, side effects, if it works, results, etc.
Anything would be helpful. Thank you!!!
