Workmans comp
I am having a problem finding a Dr. willing to take an out of state work. comp.
case. I was injured on the job in Louisiana and had to move back to central Florida due to financial issues.
Does anyone know how I can find A local Ortho?

Hi JeriSue, I would suggest that you contact the insurance company who handles your employers worker comp cases, and ask them if they can get you a list of orthopedic surgeons in Flordia that takes worker comp cases. Another couple of options I would suggest is go to the search enginewww.ask.com and type in a question asking for a list of orthopedic surgeons located in or nearby your new home in Flordia, or also contact the local hospital and ask for the names of orthopedic surgeons. I know it's alot of cold calling to find out which orthopedic surgeons take work comp cases that started out of state, and I would also suggest looking up reviews of th Dr's names you get online. If you can also once you find a couple of good Dr's you can go into the office ask them questions, and if other patience strike up conversations about their experiences with the specific Dr. I know they are general suggestions, but hopefully a good starting point that will end up with you finding a fantastic orthopedic surgeon.
