Looking for Dr. Jho reviews for cervical stenosis surgery

Started by aprovide on 09/11/2012 3:31pm

I am a 42 year old male with no history of back pain or spine issues. In April of this year I started experiencing tingling and numbness in my shoulder and arms, headaches, and weakness in my hands.
Did an MRI and was diagnosed with severe stenosis at the C5-6 and C6-7 levels. Saw 3 different Neurosurgeons and they all said my condition is past of point of non-surgical treatment. They all recommended the traditional ACDF surgery at 2 levels.
I was not comfortable with the thought of fusing my spine, so started to look at other options. I contacted Dr Jho's office and sent in my MRI. They contacted me and said I am a candidate for the Jho Procedure for cervical stenosis.
Does anyone have any first-hand experience with Dr Jho's procedure, that they can share with me?
When I look at the reviews currently available online it seems to be a mixed bag. Some good and some bad. The bad ones seem to be more focused on his bedside manners. I'm really not looking for reviews on his manners or people skills. I'm looking for serious feedback on his surgical skills and the clinical success/outcome that others have had with his procedure.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I see that you posted this question several months ago but I will respond anyway. I had a two level cervical decompression by Dr. Jho 7 years ago. It absolutely helped a lot with the nerve symptoms such as dropping things and also reduced pain. Now seven years later my origional symptoms have not come back but I am dealing with very limited range of motion due to degenerative disc disease and tons of spurs. I am 57 and was told that I have the neck of an 80 year old. I feel that my outcome was good
