Numbness and Tingling along the spine

Started by StarFire1955 on 08/07/2019 2:36pm

I have anklylosing spondylitis and it has caused my spine to become fused. I have had C4/5, C5/6 &C6/7 fused with screws and rods in the back of my neck. I am now having tingling and numbness in my neck area and on each side of the spine in the thoracic area. I am having foot drop problems too. I have seen my orthopedic surgeons pa, a neuro surgeon at Duke Hospital and a pain management dr. They all say there is nothing they can do to help me. My MRI shows that I have a mild broad-based disc bulge eccentric to the left that mildly indents the thecal sac. The left neural foramen is mildly narrowed by the disc bulge. This is at C3-C4. I do not know what to do now or who to go to. The tingling and numbness is what is worring me. No one can tell me what is causing it or how to help it. And of course I am worried about the disc bulge to, I think that is what is causing the problem in my neck and the pain in my neck, but I don't know what is causing it in my thoracic spine or why I am having foot drop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
