LUMBAR FACET JOINT- GONE WRONG

Started by hurting-n-texas on 12/14/2010 11:53pm

I'M LEFT HURTING AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO?
OCTOBER 06, 2010 I WENT THROUGH THE LUMBAR FACET JOINT INJECTIONS. THEY GAVE ME AN IV BUT NO RELAXATION DRUG WAS ADMINISTERED. AS MY DOCTOR PUT SIX NEEDLES IN MY LOWER BACK I FELT EVERYTHING. HE KEPT TELLING ME "HOLD STILL, YOUR BENDING THE NEEDLES" AS I WAS SCREAMING. WELL HE BENT TWO IN MY LOWER BACK AND QUICKLY ENDED THE PROCEDURE AND TOLD ME I WAS DONE. THEY WHEELED ME INTO RECOVERY AND MY LEGS WERE IMMEDICATELY NUMB! 20 MINUTES GOES BY THEN 30 MINUTES MY LEGS STILL NUMB. THE NURSES RELEASE ME TO MY WIFE BUT STILL WITH NO FEELING IN MY LEGS THEY HAD TO WHEELCHAIR ME DOWN TO THE CAR AND WITH HELP GET ME INTO MY VECHICLE. I HAD BEEN HOME ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HELF WHEN THE NURSE FROM THIS DOCTORS OFFICE CALLS AND SAID THAT THEY WILL NO LONGER SEE ME, WITH NO EXCUSE. SINCE THIS DATE I HAVE REGAINED MOST FEELING IN MY LEFT LEG BUT MY RIGHT LEG IS IN CONSTANT STABBING PAIN AND THEN IT GOES NUMB. I HAVE FALLEN SEVERAL TIMES NOW BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHEN ITS GOING TO GO NUMB ON ME AND THE HORRIABLE STABBING PAIN WHICH I NEVER HAD BEFORE FROM THE BEGINNING OF MY OUTER THIGH TIL ABOUT AN INCH BEFORE THE KNEE CAP. iM ON MEDICAID AND HAVEN'T FOUND A LAWER TO TAKE THE CASE. BUT WHATS WORRYING ME IS THAT I KNOW HAVE NO COLOR IN MY RIGHT LEG, I HAVE A CONSTANT STABBING FLEXED NOTTED UP SENSATION THEN MY LEG GOES NUMB AND TWITCHES. IS THE NERVE DIEING IN MY LEG BECAUSE OF THIS LUMBAR FACET JOINT INJECTION? I HAD NO LEG PROBLEM BEFORE THIS, IS IT GOING TO GET BETTER? HURTING-N-TEXAS

You had one hell of a lousy "doctor"!!!! You were not properly prepped prior to the procedure, and that is why you were experiencing so much pain. Properly prepped (anesthetized) patients do NOT feel pain! You need to seek legal counsel ASAP, as there are time limitations on your claim. You need to see a damn good neurosurgeon, never mind the orthopedists!!!
