Back pain

Started by himanshushah on 04/15/2013 12:16pm

My mother (age - 68) was fall in a house and thereafter having back pain. X-ray report shows as follows :

1. There is generalized osteopenia. 2. Grade I anterior wedging of D12 vertebra. 3. Anterior and lateral peridiscal osteophytes are seen. 4. Reduced L1-2 disc space is seen. 5. There is posterior subluxation of coccyx in relation to sacrum.
Rest of the vertabral bodies & posterior elements are normal. There are no focal bony lesions. Rest of the disc spaces appear to be maintained. Psoas shadows appear normal. There is no abnormal para-vertebral shadow.

Please let me know what is the meaning of above. Can this be treated without getting admitted to hospital.

What are the treatments on above problem.

Thanks & regards
