About Kathleen A. Sluka, PT, PhD, FAPTA
Dr. Kathleen Sluka is Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA. Dr. Sluka is a scientist whose laboratory studies the the neurobiology of chronic musculoskeletal pain and strives to discover new therapies for pain management.
Dr. Sluka received her BS in Physical Therapy at Georgia State University in Atlanta. She completed her PhD in Anatomy at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Dr. Sluka is a Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association (FAPTA).
