About Gregory Grabowski, MD

Dr. Gregory Grabowski is Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and in practice at Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center in Columbia, SC. Dr. Grabowski is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Grabowski’s focal interests include caring for patients with spine disorders, particularly spinal stenosis and deformity. He believes in a balanced approach to spine care that includes nonoperative treatment options when possible and surgical interventions as necessary.

Following his graduation from the University of Richmond in Virginia, Dr. Grabowski entered the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and was assigned to an HIV clinic in Baltimore, MD. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Thereafter, Dr. Grabowski completed his Internship and Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and was named top Orthopaedic Teaching Resident at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT. He received advanced training by completing a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Grabowski is an active contributing member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and North American Spine Society (NASS).
