Dr. Kai-Uwe Lewandrowski is a board certified orthopaedic spine surgeon at the Center for Advanced Spinal Surgery in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Lewandrowski’s clinical focus includes minimizing the impact of spinal surgery and measuring outcomes. He treats spinal disorders affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine such as those caused by degenerative age-related changes, spinal deformities, trauma, and tumors.

Dr. Lewandrowski received his medical degree from Humboldt University of Berlin in Germany. He completed surgical residencies at Ruhr University (Germany), Boston University, and the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. Thereafter, Dr. Lewandrowski completed a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical fellowship in spinal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.

He is an active member of many prestigious medical associations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Research Society, and North American Spine Society. Dr. Lewandrowski’s research has been published in over 60 papers, in posters and presentations. Furthermore, he has authored 30 book chapters and edited 12 books.
