About Jay Jagannathan, MD, FAANS

Dr. Jagannathan is a nationally recognized, board-certified neurosurgeon and President of a multi-specialty group with a key focus on utilizing the latest minimally invasive techniques to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Jagannathan received his medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed neurosurgical training at the University of Virginia and Wayne State University. He completed fellowships in oncology at the National Institutes for Neurologic Disorders and Stroke, and in spine surgery and radiosurgery at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Jagannathan has offices throughout Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula. He has a special interest in delivery of neurosurgical care to patients irrespective of location and demographic factors. He has been named a “Top Doc” by Hour Detroit Magazine, and a ‘Spine Surgeon Leader to Know.’ He has published numerous papers and book chapters,and has spoken at various national and international spine meetings and courses.
