About Daniel Possley, DO, MS

Dr. Daniel Possley is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon in practice at Cornerstone Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine located in Wheat Ridge, CO.

Dr. Possley received his doctor of osteopathy degree from Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. Thereafter, he joined the United States Army and completed an orthopaedic surgical internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, TX. He continued his training through a residency in orthopaedics and rehabilitation at the San Antonio Military Medical Consortium at Fort Sam Houston; the only US Department of Defense level one trauma center.

Dr. Possley continued his work as an orthopaedic surgeon at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, TX, and was deployed to Bastion Hospital at Camp Leatherneck in Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His wartime experience pushed him to continue his training, and he completed a spine surgery fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI; a world-renowned spine fellowship.

He is a member of many prestigious medical societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons.

In addition, Dr. Possley serves on the Editorial Board of the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ JAAOS Global Research & Reviews, is Associate Editor of Military Medicine, and Reviewer of the journal, Orthopedics.
