About Evelyn Hess
Evelyn Hess is an Alexander Technique teacher based in Oakland, California. Hess works with dentists, performing artists, and chronic back pain sufferers to relearn their habits in movement and posture, so they eliminate pain and avoid injury.
Hess first learned of the Alexander Technique after suffering from sciatica for 6 years. Hoping it would help ease her low back and leg pain, Hess discovered that the therapy taught her poise, good posture, stress management—and it relieved her sciatica. This transformation inspired her to become an Alexander Technique teacher, which she qualified for in 2004. You can learn more about Hess and the Alexander Technique at www.evelynhess.com.
