Dr. Ankit Mehta is Director of Spinal Oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Health specializing in the surgical treatment of complex spinal conditions, including spinal tumors and deformity. In addition, Dr. Mehta is Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurosurgery at UIC.

Dr. Mehta received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston. He completed his general surgical internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, and neurological surgery residency at Duke University in Durham, NC. During his residency, he completed a stereotactic radio surgery fellowship followed by a complex spine and spinal oncology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
