About Frank L. Acosta, MD

Dr. Frank Acosta is an associate professor of clinical neurological surgery at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Acosta is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in revision spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery with a focus on the treatment of spinal deformity and failed back syndrome.

Dr. Acosta received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He completed a general surgical internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Acosta continued his training by completing a complex and reconstruction spine surgery fellowship program at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.

He has received many academic honors, numerous research awards, and travel awards. Dr. Acosta is a member of many prestigious societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), CNS/AANS Joint Section on Tumors, CNS/AANS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, AOSpine, and Society of Lateral Access Surgeons (SOLAS).
