About Khoi D. Than, MD

Dr. Khoi Than is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Dr. Than is a neurosurgeon whose practice includes spine care.

After receiving his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD, Dr. Than fulfilled a neurosurgical residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Complex Spine Surgery at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Than has received several awards from prestigious universities and spine organizations. Furthermore, he serves on the review board for The Spine Journal and has served as ad hoc reviewer for several well-known spine and neurosurgery journals.

In addition, Dr. Than is a member of important spine associations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, and North American Spine Society (NASS).
