About George Rappard, MD
George Rappard, MD is a board-certified neuroradiologist and trained neurointerventionist. After attending the University of California Los Angeles where he earned a BA in history, Dr. Rappard received his MD with distinction from the George Washington University. Dr. Rappard then completed a general surgery internship at the Medical College of Georgia and a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of California Irvine. At the University of Texas-Southwestern Dr. Rappard completed fellowships both in neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology/neuroendovascular surgery.
While at the University of Texas, Dr. Rappard was heavily engaged in research to develop novel methods of image-guided and minimally invasive brain and spine surgery. After serving on the academic faculty at the University of Texas, Dr. Rappard returned to Southern California to co-found the Valley Neuroscience Institute and direct the institute’s neurointerventional section.
