About William R. Taylor, MD

Dr. William R. Taylor is Clinical Professor of Surgery, Chair of the Department Diversity Committee at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Neurosurgery.

Dr. Taylor's clinical focus is the neurosurgical evaluation and treatment of spinal disorders. His areas of operative interest are in minimally invasive spine surgery and endoscopic surgical procedures in the treatment of disc disease.  

Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. At the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, he received specialty training in spinal surgery.
 He is an active and sought after lecturer at prestigious spine meetings. Dr. Taylor is a member of many scientific and professional societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
