About Dean Karahalios, MD

Doctor Dean Karahalios is a board certified and fellowship trained spine surgeon at NorthShore Medical Group in Evanston, IL.

Dr. Karahalios received his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He completed his general surgical internship at Maricopa Medical Center and neurological surgery residency and spinal surgery fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute and St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Karahalios' academic honors include Alpha Omega Alpha.

He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves. Dr. Karahalios is recognized by his peers for extensive research and development of products to advance surgical treatment of spinal disorders.
