About Ronald A. Lehman, Jr., MD
Dr. Ronald Lehman is a full tenure Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Lehman is Director of Degenerative and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Co-Director of the Adult and Pediatric Comprehensive Spine Fellowship, Director of Clinical Spine Research, and Co-Director of Clinical Research.
Dr. Lehman’s academic and clinical expertise focus on the treatment of adult and pediatric spinal conditions including scoliosis, kyphosis, revision spine surgical procedures, and minimally invasive spine surgery. His practice also includes treatment of cervical and lumbar disorders such as benign and cancerous tumors, myelopathy, and radiculopathy.
After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, Dr. Lehman received his Medical Degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC and was selected and completed a Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Spine Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO under Dr. Lawrence Lenke and Dr. Keith Bridwell.
Dr. Lehman is an active member of many prestigious medical societies and has held leadership roles. He has presented his extensive research worldwide and published over 120 peer-reviewed journal articles and more than 60 book chapters.
