Ultram is the brand name for tramadol. This prescription medication is a narcotic-like
pain reliever. It is prescribed to treat moderate to moderately severe pain.
Tramadol is a synthetic, man-made drug. Although it is not known exactly how
Ultram works, it is similar to morphine. Such morphine-like drugs bind to opioid
receptors in the brain and help reduce pain.
