Oxycodone Hydrochloride and Oxycodone Terephthalate With Aspirin (Oral): Instructions
Dosage
and Administration
Dosages may require modification to adjust for individual sensitivities and associated medical conditions.
Adults Under 60
Percodan: 1 tablet taken by mouth every 6 hours as needed for pain.
Percodan-demi: 1 or 2 tablets taken by mouth every 6 hours as needed for pain.
It may sometimes be necessary to exceed the usual recommended dose in cases of more severe pain or when the patient has become tolerant to the analgesic effect.
Adults 60 and Over
Reduced dosage may be necessary. Consult your physician.
Infants and Children
Percodan-demi, which contains half the amount of oxycodone, may be used as follows:
Children 6-12 years old: 1/4 tablet taken by mouth every 6 hours as needed for pain.
Adolescents over 12 years: 1/2 tablet taken by mouth every 6 hours as needed for pain.
Do not administer Percodan to children.
If You Miss a Dose
This is taken as needed for the relief of pain.
Storage
Keep all medications out of the reach of children
Store in a tightly closed container at room temperature in a dry, dark place. Do not store in the bathroom. Moisture can cause the drug to break down. "Health at your fingertips"
