Naproxen sodium (Naprosyn)

Naprosyn is the brand name for naproxen sodium. This prescription medication is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is prescribed to treat mild to moderate pain caused by inflammatory disorders such as ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile or rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Although it is not known how Naproxen works, the drug is proven to help relieve inflammation and pain. Naproxen sodium treats the symptoms of the above-mentioned disorders, not the disorder itself.
