Morphine (Kadian, MS Contin)

Kadian and MS Contin are brand names for morphine. This prescription medication is a strong narcotic pain reliever. It is prescribed to treat moderate to severe, or severe chronic pain in select patients. Kadian or MS Contin may be used by patients who need morphine longer than several days. Morphine is not for short-term, or 'as needed' use, including the treatment of acute pain.
