Skelaxin is the brand name for metaxalone. This prescription medication is
a muscle relaxant. Skelaxin is prescribed to treat injuries such as whiplash,
sprain/strain, and other painful musculoskeletal injuries. Treatment with metaxalone
includes rest and physical therapy.
