Keflex: Side Effects

Keflex

You may experience the following side effects with the use of this drug:

Common Symptoms

• Mild diarrhea
• Nausea or vomiting
• Stomach cramps
• Headache
• White patches in the mouth (oral candidiasis)
• Vaginal yeast infecrtion

Less Common to Rare Symptoms

• Severe diarrhea with mucus or blood in stool
• Unusual weakness or tiredness
• Severe allergic reaction (with such symptoms as hives, rash, difficulty breathing or swelling of the lips, tongue and face)
• Temporary neutropenia (low levels of neutrophils in the blood)
• Anemia

Life-threatening Symptoms

• Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction)
• Difficulty breathing

Possible Overdose Symptoms

• Abdominal cramps
• Seizures
• Severe nausea or vomiting
• Severe diarrhea with mucus or blood in stool
