Keflex: Side Effects
Cephalexin [Oral]
Keflex
You may experience the following side effects with the use of
this drug:
Common
Symptoms
- Mild diarrhea
- Nausea or vomiting
- Stomach cramps
- Headache
- White patches in the mouth (oral candidiasis)
- Vaginal yeast infecrtion
Less Common to Rare Symptoms
- Severe diarrhea with mucus or blood in stool
- Unusual weakness or tiredness
- Severe allergic reaction (with such symptoms as hives, rash, difficulty breathing or swelling of the lips, tongue and face)
- Temporary neutropenia (low levels of neutrophils in the blood)
- Anemia
Life-threatening Symptoms
- Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction)
- Difficulty breathing
Possible Overdose Symptoms
- Abdominal cramps
- Seizures
- Severe nausea or vomiting
- Severe diarrhea with mucus or blood in stool
