Vicodin and Lorcet are the brand names for hydrocodone bitartrate with acetaminophen.
This prescription medication combines a narcotic pain reliever with a non-narcotic
pain and fever reducer (acetaminophen). Acetaminophen elevates the pain threshold,
or level of discomfort the patient feels is painful. It is prescribed to treat
moderate to moderately severe pain.
