Butoranol Tartrateph  [Injection]

Dosage and Administration

Dosages may require modification to adjust for individual sensitivities and associated medical conditions.

Adults Under 60
IM: 1-4 mg every 3 or 4 hours as needed.
IV: a single dose of 0.5-2 mg every 3 or 4 hours as needed.

Adults 60 and Over
Start at half the adult dosage at twice the interval. Adjust based on patient response.



Maximum Dosage Recommendations
Adults: 4 mg per single dose by IM.

If You Miss a Dose
This route is probably administered by a physician experienced in the use of butorphanol.

Keep all medications out of the reach of children

Store according to the manufacturer's suggestions on label.
