Adalimumab (Humira)
Humira is the brand name for adalimumab. Humira is in a class of medications
called tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors. It works by blocking the action
of TNF, a substance in the body that causes inflammation. Adalimumab may be
prescribed to treat ankylosing spondylitis and moderate to severe rheumatoid
arthritis. Humira may help reduce symptoms and prevent bone damage.
